UAAD Executive Board Meeting, Joint UNOPA/UAAD Meeting January 9, 2007 - 12:00-1:00 pm Bob Devaney Sports Center, Northwest Concourse

Marilyn Fenton, UAAD President, began by encouraging members to submit nominations for the Carl A. Donaldson Award and Floyd S. Oldt Award. The Donaldson award is given for Excellence in Management and the Oldt award is given for Exceptional Service to the University. The recipients will be announced at the UAAD Annual Founder’s Day meeting on February 28th. Nominations are due by February 2. Chancellor Perlman is scheduled to speak at this meeting.

Marilyn also mentioned that the Mitten Drive has been very successful. There is a collection box located in the Union on both City and East Campus. There is still time to donate through the end of the month.

Marilyn also announced that Tom Osborne is scheduled to talk about leadership at the UAAD monthly meeting in March.

Richard Kimbrough was the guest speaker. The topic was “Why We Laugh” which was sponsored by the Nebraska Humanities Council.

The next monthly member meeting will be February 28, 2006 at 12:00 PM at Nebraska Union, City Campus. Winners of the Carl A. Donaldson award and Floyd S. Oldt award will be presented.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM.
