2007 UAAD Picnic
The annual UAAD picnic was held May 23. After lunch, past president Marilyn Fenton announced the new officers for 2007-08. Following the picnic, members toured the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

2007-08 UAAD Officers Announced
Jeanne Wicks, 2008 President announced the newly elected officers at the May 23 Cookout. Congratulations to the new officers: President elect, Valerie Lefler; Secretary, Ashley Washburn; and Treasurer, Cheryl Hassler. UAAD is now on summer hiatus. Regular monthly meetings will resume in September. If you have any questions regarding UAAD over the summer, you may contact Jeanne Wicks at jwicks2@unl.edu. Thank you for your continued support of UAAD!

We are collecting Nickels for Nails for Lincoln Habitat for Humanity this month!
Nickels too heavy for your pockets? Parking meters won't take them? Don't leave them at home, bring your nickels or larger denominations to the following UAAD April events:

1. "Creativity Counts," with Barbie Tootle, 1:30 p.m., April 12, EC Union
   
2. UAAD meeting with Connie Yori, 11:45 a.m., April 18, EC Union.

Habitat for Humanity is building 10 houses in Lancaster County this year. One will be in Hallam, one will be a "women's building crew" house, 2 others are nearly finished, 2 will start soon, and the others will start later this year. They are in desperate need of NAILS and VOLUNTEERS. If you wish to help, call the Habitat for Humanity phone no. [477-9184], and a recording will tell you the address of the current worksite. Go to the worksite the next morning and check in with the VOLUNTEER HOST. Work days are ONLY Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. So, if you want to work on Saturday, call Friday night.
